The difference between generic drugs and patented products

Different definitions have different protection periods.

1, different definitions: Universal product is product generalization, which refers to the standardized form that parts of the same type of products and equipment with different specifications or types can be used interchangeably after being unified, while patented product refers to practical product suitable for people to use and having all the technical characteristics recorded in patent claims.

2. Different protection periods: the protection period of patented products is limited. After 20 years of invention, the new model and design 10 year cannot be extended when it expires, while the protection period of generic products is relatively short and can be extended after it expires.
