Lcd (short for liquid crystal display) liquid crystal display. The structure of LCD is to place a liquid crystal box between two parallel glass substrates, a TFT (thin film transistor) on the lower substrate glass, and a color filter on the upper substrate glass. The rotation direction of liquid crystal molecules is controlled by the change of signal and voltage on TFT, so as to control whether the polarized light of each pixel is emitted or not, and achieve the purpose of display. Now LCD has replaced CRT as the mainstream, the price has dropped a lot, and it has been fully popularized.
CRT is a display using cathode ray tube, which is mainly composed of five parts: electron gun, deflection coil, shadow mask, phosphor and glass shell. It used to be one of the most widely used displays. CRT flat panel display has many advantages that LCD display can't surpass, such as large viewing angle, no bad spots, high color reproduction, uniform chromaticity, adjustable multi-resolution mode and short response time. Moreover, in the past, the price of CRT monitors was much cheaper than that of LCD monitors.
