Amino acids should be represented by three-letter symbols consistent with the symbols in Table 3 of Appendix 1, with the first letter capitalized. Amino acid sequences with blanks or internal termination symbols (such as "Ter" or "*" or "ยท") should not be represented as a single amino acid sequence but should be listed separately as independent amino acid sequences.
