How to apply for a patent by CPC client in electronic patent application?

Step one:

Download CPC installation software and upgrade the client to the latest version.

Step two:

Log in with the original cponline account password. Then click Download Certificate in User Certificate-User Certificate-Certificate Management to download the certificate to the local IE.

You need to use multiple computers, and then export the PFX certificate from IE, and double-click to import it to other computers. To edit a computer, you only need to install CPC editing mode. After the file is edited, it will be exported to the sending computer, and all files will be sent by the designated computer.

Step 3:

Run the CPC client on the machine with the CPC client and certificate installed, and then take submitting a new application as an example:

Select the required application type in the "Patent Application" column.

3.2 Edit the case file

The case file is divided into documents and additional documents.

Documents: including the request, abstract, abstract drawings, claims, specifications and drawings, in which the abstract, abstract drawings, claims, specifications and drawings can be word or pdf documents.

Additional documents: including power of attorney, fee waiver request, fee waiver certificate and other related documents.

Select the appropriate file, and then click the signing tool on the toolbar to select the certificate signature.

Click Send to send the selected file, and click Receive to receive the notification.
