Brief introduction of Liu Cai.

Born in June, 1948, Suihua, Heilongjiang, party member. 1972 entered Northeast Heavy Machinery Institute (predecessor of Yanshan University) to study in rolling machinery. I graduated from 1975 and stayed in school to teach. In order to further improve my academic and scientific research ability, I studied for a master's degree during my teaching and obtained a master's degree of 198 1. Because of his outstanding performance in scientific research and teaching, he was sent by the state to the University of Birmingham, England, to study for a doctorate in 1982.

1986 After returning to China, he taught at Yanshan University. 199 1 year was promoted to professor. 1993 was approved as a doctoral supervisor by the State Council Academic Degrees Committee, and began to enjoy special government allowance from 1993. 1993- 1999 served as vice president of Yanshan university. He is currently the president of Hebei Academy of Sciences and the president of Shijiazhuang Polytechnic Vocational College. He is also a member of the Rolling Technology Committee of China Metal Society, vice chairman of Hebei Science and Technology Association, vice chairman of Hebei Metallurgical Society, member of Hebei Academic Degrees Committee, senior member of China Mechanical Engineering Society, member of the evaluation committee of heavy mining machinery science award, member of the teaching guidance committee of electromechanical specialty in national universities, editorial board of Journal of Mechanical Engineering, Iron and Steel, Rolling Steel and other social part-time jobs.

The main research direction is computer simulation of metal forming process (including rolling, continuous casting, extrusion, drawing, cold bending, etc. ). The methods used are mainly three-dimensional large deformation elastic-plastic finite element method and large deformation elastic-plastic finite strip method. The metal flow law, stress, strain distribution, temperature field and microstructure evolution are predicted by numerical simulation, and expensive industrial experiments are replaced by computer simulation, thus providing a basis for optimizing technology, controlling product quality and designing and manufacturing new equipment.

He has successively undertaken more than ten national, ministerial and provincial scientific research projects, such as the National Natural Science Foundation, the Special Fund for Doctoral Program of the State Education Commission and the Fund for Excellent Young Teachers, the Natural Science Foundation of Hebei Province, the Special Fund for Doctoral Program of Hebei Province, the Key Research Project of Hebei Science and Technology Commission, the Ninth Five-Year Plan Key Research Project of the Ministry of Machinery, and the Science and Technology Development Fund. At the same time, a number of scientific research projects have been completed and applied to production in cooperation with Shanghai Baosteel Group Corporation, Shigang Group Corporation, Volkswagen Group Corporation, Baosteel Nanjing Rolling Mill and Changchun Cold Bending Steel Mill. The project "Computer Simulation of Industrial Forming Process" won the second prize of Science and Technology Progress Award of State Education Commission 1992. "Virtual Rolling Theory and Experimental Research" won the nomination award of national scientific and technological progress in 2003 and the invention patent 1.

He has published more than 80 academic papers/kloc-0, most of which are published in core journals at home and abroad, such as int.j. mech.sci (international journal of mechanical science) and int.mama. Enging (International Journal of Numerical Engineering Methods), j.materials.proce, Journal of Materials Processing, etc. Cited by international magazine papers for more than 60 times. Attended many international conferences, and served as a China member of the International Scientific Advisory Committee of the 94 International Conference on Metal Forming.

Professor Liu Cai trained and supervised more than 30 graduate students and doctoral students, including 8 doctoral students 18, 2 postdoctoral students and 2 graduated doctors 12.
