On February 24th, 2020, FDA announced the launch of the first searchable online database of biological products information, namely the online "Purple Book". Zishu first appeared on 20 14. It used to be a PDF list. Now it is easier to search online, which includes product name (generic name and patent name), license type of biological products submitted, specifications, dosage forms, product introduction, license status, BLA number and approval date of biological products. The PurpleBook corresponds to the mature OrangeBook database of FDA, which contains the chemicals and data of biological products approved by FDA. Purple book is also called FDA-approved biological products database. FDA will upgrade Purple Books in stages. In the first stage, it will include approved biologically similar drugs and their reference preparations, and provide a comprehensive search function. The database will be expanded in the future and will include data and information of all biological products (including transitional biological products) approved by CBER and CDER.
