As we all know, the raw materials for producing PET are mainly terephthalic acid (PTA) or dimethyl terephthalate (DMT) and ethylene glycol (EG). According to the invention, after the esterification reaction or transesterification reaction of terephthalic acid (PTA) and dimethyl terephthalate (DMT), nano Sb2O3 is used to replace Sb(Ac)3 as a catalyst for molecular polycondensation reaction, and unexpected effects are achieved. Its dosage is less than half of that of Sb(Ac)3, but it achieves the same catalytic effect as that of Sb(Ac)3, and even exceeds that of Sb(Ac)3 in some indexes, thus greatly saving the cost and improving the catalytic effect.
