The current wooden floor is divided into: lock and flat. Mainly these two types.
1. Flat mouth. Most solid wood and solid wood multi-layer floors are flat. It requires nailing and gluing. Moreover, a 1-2mm gap (solid wood) needs to be left between the pieces. Apply glue to the upper tenons, let the glue overflow the floor surface after assembly, and then fill the gaps evenly. After installation, the notch is fixed with the keel using nails. This is the old way. Nowadays, "suspended paving" is generally popular, but the four sides are fixed with springs.
2. Locking the floor does not require glue. Due to the locking force of the lock floor, even if it is installed without glue, the joints will be very tight and there will be no problems such as bulging or cracking due to temperature changes. The main purpose of applying glue when installing the lock floor is to prevent moisture. If glue is used during installation, the joints can be sealed, which plays a preventive role and adds a layer of insurance. Moreover, the lock design specifically leaves a glue cavity in the floor for glue to flow and solidify, which can accurately lock the floor in the designed position, reducing the possibility of seams becoming larger and edges warping, and improving the beauty and service life of the floor.
