In the United States, the Cadillac CT6 has been discontinued. As General Motors' luxury brand, Cadillac is looking for a new top-level flagship model to fill the gap left by the CT6, so the Cadillac Celestiq appeared, and it is a pure Electric.
Cadillac Escala Concept Car
The Cadillac Celestiq debuted in March, around the same time General Motors unveiled an ambitious electric vehicle development plan that included several models New all-electric SUV, Hummer EV and groundbreaking new battery architecture.
The picture above is a concept sketch released by General Motors Design (GM Design) this week. It depicts an unnamed, low-slung new Cadillac concept car with a very futuristic appearance. It has huge, bulging flared fenders, a long and wide hood, and design elements borrowed from high-performance sports cars, such as a large front splitter and integrated side skirt spoilers. What's more, it doesn't appear to have a front grille. The front face looks a bit like the new Cadillac Lyriq. Is this a design sketch of the upcoming Cadillac Celestiq? The media previously speculated that the appearance of Celestiq will come from the Cadillac Escala concept car. It seems that it needs to be re-examined.
It may be a long time before we have confirmation. General Motors has not set a release date for the new Celestiq, but it is not expected to launch until 2022. It is said that the Cadillac Celestiq will be hand-built, with a fastback body design, four doors and a 2+2 seat layout. And the car in this sketch looks like a 2??2 fastback, don't you think?
Not long ago, General Motors Design (GM Design) showed a concept sketch of Cadillac’s futuristic supercar interior. We speculate that this may indicate the design direction of the company’s new Cadillac Celestiq.
