According to the different measured media, horizontally installed V-cone pressure taps can be divided into the following three installation methods:
(1) When measuring the liquid flow, the pressure tap should be inclined downward by 45 or in a horizontal position, so as to prevent the gas and products in the liquid from being stored in the measuring chamber of the pressure guide tube or differential pressure transmitter, which will bring errors to the measurement.
(2) measuring gas flow
When measuring the gas flow, the position of the pressure tap should be inclined upward by 45 or vertically upward to prevent the liquid and dirt contained in the gas from entering and accumulating in the measuring chamber of the conduit or differential pressure transmitter.
(3) measure the steam flow
When measuring steam flow, when the differential pressure transmitter is below the flowmeter, the pressure tap must be installed in a horizontal position, which can ensure that the flow sensor can work normally under the process conditions of continuous or intermittent steam use. When the process pipeline is underground or close to the ground, the differential pressure transmitter should be installed above the flow sensor, so the position of the pressure tap must be inclined upward by 45.
In order to prevent high-temperature steam from directly entering the sensor diaphragm and burning the sensor diaphragm and the three-valve group, the following steps should be taken:
After zero migration is completed, slowly open the high and low pressure valves, stop the valves once, and gradually let the steam enter the pressure guide pipe. Steam is cooled by the pressure guide pipe and condenser (cold water can also be sprayed for cooling, or cold water can be injected into the pressure guide pipe in advance through the condensation tank). After all the steam in the pressure guide pipe condenses into water, open the high and low pressure pressure take-off valves of the three-valve group and close the balance valve. The temperature of steam entering the sensor room must be controlled within 100℃. Do not open the balance valve during operation, otherwise the high temperature steam will burn out the diaphragm box and the three-way valve group.
