Water-based lubricants are usually emulsified from animal and vegetable oils, mineral oils, synthetic ester oils and other oily substances. They have good lubricity, coolability, cleanliness and safety, and are widely used in metalworking fluids, such as cutting fluids and wire drawing fluids. However, their disadvantages are limited extreme pressure and friction reduction, low carbonization point, and easy to produce a large number of carbonization residues under high extreme pressure, which will pollute the machined surface.
