How long does it take to apply for a patent?
(1) Invention, the review time is about 18 months, and it is necessary to submit the substantive review at any time within three years, but submitting the substantive review in advance is conducive to early authorization.
(2) The examination time of the utility model is about six months.
(3) The design review time is about four months.
Note: After the patent is examined and approved, it can only be issued after paying the registration fee and annual fee, and it will be announced in the patent bulletin. The patent right will take effect from the date of announcement (from Shenzhen Zhong Yi United Intellectual Property).
The fees for patent application include formal fees and agency fees. The official fees are unified throughout the country, and the agency fees are the highest, followed by utility model patents and finally appearance patents.
