Qingdao West Coast New District Vocational Secondary School and Qingdao No.2 Technical School were founded in 1975 and 1978 respectively. They are the national advanced schools for moral education, the national training base for skilled personnel, the first batch of demonstration schools in Shandong Province, the advanced collective of the education system in Shandong Province, the excellent colleges for cultivating artisans' spirit in Shandong Province, and the first batch of high-level secondary vocational schools in Shandong Province.
The school covers an area of 538 mu, with more than 700 full-time and part-time teachers and more than 700 students1/kloc-0. Eight training bases have been built, covering an area of 62,000 square meters, including numerical control, automobile maintenance, electromechanical, electronics, information, mould, port and shipping, and modern service industry. The total equipment value exceeds 100 million yuan, and more than 10,000 people are trained and appraised annually.
The majors offered cover 9 major professional groups and 29 majors, including equipment manufacturing, electronics and information, finance and trade, among which 4 are national demonstration construction majors, 5 are provincial demonstration construction majors and 5 are Qingdao backbone majors.
CNC major and auto repair major were rated as brand majors in Shandong Province. The teaching team of CNC and electromechanical specialty was rated as an excellent teaching team in Shandong Province. At present, there are 6 full-time and senior teachers, 5 provincial special-grade teachers, 3 Qilu principals and famous teachers, 2 provincial famous teacher workshops, 2 provincial skill inheritance platforms, and nearly 200 famous teachers and teaching experts.
The school insists on being a cultural person, and "Hehe" is rated as a brand of moral education in Qingdao. The school-running mode of "integration of production and education, combining work with study to educate people" is popularized throughout the country. Twenty-seven courses were rated as excellent courses in Qingdao, and more than 50 subjects were completed or established at the provincial and ministerial levels. Shanke University and Qushi University have "Master Mobile Station".
The school has deep cooperation with many large and medium-sized enterprises such as Hisense, Qingte Steel and Haier 100. Jointly establish a joint training base for welding factories, instructors and welders with the German Welding Society; With Sino-German Novo (Beijing) Education Investment Co., Ltd. * * * to jointly build a high-skilled automobile talent training project; Successfully signed a contract with Germany's Demagisen Seiki, and realized the training of welding, automobile, numerical control and other talents in line with international standards.
The school and Qingdao Port Vocational and Technical College, Shandong Vocational College of Science and Technology, Yantai Vocational College of Automobile Engineering and Qingdao Vocational and Technical College of Hotel Management jointly set up 3-2 years of continuous specialized classes, and Qingdao Vocational and Technical College jointly set up a 5-year through class, and implemented "3+4" pilot training with Qingdao University of Technology and Weifang College to realize the comprehensive integration of secondary vocational education to higher vocational colleges and undergraduate education.
Since 20 12, the school has won 6 gold medals, 65 silver medals and 3 bronze medals in the national vocational college skills competition, among which the number of gold medals and medals from 2016 to 2020 ranks first among secondary vocational schools in China.
