GE90 engine is a commercial super-thrust turbofan engine developed by GEAE (General Electric Aeroengine Company), a subsidiary of American General Electric Company. GE90- 1 15B is the world's largest aero-engine recorded in Guinness World Records, and its maximum thrust reaches 56.9 tons in the ground bench test.
The advanced technology and new performance enhancement functions of GE90 series engines, such as 3-Daero compressor and wide chord swept composite fan blades, have greatly improved the efficiency. The hydrocarbon emission of double-ring combustion chamber is lower than the current international standard limit by more than 60%.
The maximum thrust of 1 1.5 million pounds is almost five times that of Boeing 737 engine (CFM56). The Boeing 777 wide-body aircraft with a maximum take-off weight of 247 tons is only equipped with two GE90, and the thrust can be imagined. American engine technology has created this super-large thrust engine. No matter in other countries, military or civilian (the thrust of ordinary fighter engines is more than ten tons), no matter what type of engine, it can't reach this thrust level at present, and it is the aviation engine with the largest thrust.
