How to use optical fiber jumper?

1) The transmitting and receiving wavelengths of the optical modules at both ends of the fiber jumper must be the same, that is, the optical modules at both ends of the fiber must have the same wavelength. A simple way to distinguish them is that the colors of optical modules should be the same. Generally speaking, short-wave optical modules use multimode fiber (orange fiber) and long-wave optical modules use single-mode fiber (yellow fiber) to ensure the accuracy of data transmission.

2) Before use, the ceramic ferrule and ferrule end face of optical fiber jumper must be wiped clean with alcohol and absorbent cotton.

3) When the optical fiber is installed, it should be inserted and pulled lightly. Excessive force can easily lead to the deviation of optical fiber ferrule, thus affecting the quality of optical communication.

4) Don't bend and circle the optical fiber excessively in use, which will increase the attenuation of light in the transmission process.

5) Please connect the dust cap to the equipment interface as soon as possible, so as not to dirty the end face of the connector.

6) After using the optical fiber jumper, it needs to be covered with a dust cover to prevent dust from polluting the end face.

7) When transmitting laser signals, do not look directly at the end face of the optical fiber.

8) If there are stains on the end face of optical fiber, please clean it with optical fiber cleaning products, otherwise the communication quality will be affected.

9) Ensure that it is used at the working temperature of -40℃ ~+80℃ and the relative humidity of 5% ~ 90%.

10) In case of damage caused by man-made and other force majeure factors, replace the damaged optical fiber jumper in time.
