Traditional Chinese medicine believes that most patients with chilblain have yang deficiency, so qi and blood are not running smoothly and the veins are stagnant. Over time, the skin will lose nutrition, leading to long-term yin and cold pulse. So frostbite will happen repeatedly. Treating chilblain in summer is a major feature of traditional Chinese medicine. The therapeutic principle of "nourishing yang in spring and summer" was put forward in Su Wen's theory of four qi regulating spirit. According to the four-season fluctuation theory of Yin and Yang in traditional Chinese medicine, the yang of human body is more vigorous in spring and summer, and more convergent and weak in autumn and winter, which is the result of the correspondence between man and nature. Take advantage of the favorable opportunity of high summer temperature and abundant human yang to adjust the balance of yin and yang and restore some chronic diseases such as chilblain.
People with yang deficiency can be influenced by the exuberant yang in nature in summer, so that the yang in the human body is at the peak of rhythm change in summer, and the cold condenses in the body, which is easy to eliminate and solve, and the skin pores are easy to expand in summer. If you use drugs to promote blood circulation and remove blood stasis, you can often get twice the result with half the effort. On the contrary, the human body is at the low point of the annual rhythm of yang in winter, and even if it is supplemented, the curative effect is not ideal. Dr. Li Bin said, it can be seen that the basic idea of treating winter diseases in summer is: on the one hand, with the help of the rising trend of yang in nature in summer, the yang in the body is on the rise, and the cold coagulation gas is easily dissolved, and drugs for promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis are used for treatment, so as to better play the therapeutic purpose of supporting yang and dispelling cold. On the other hand, it can warm the sun be the spirit. If the sun be the spirit is sufficient, it will not be easily hurt by the cold in winter.

■ Cold and antifreeze in winter
Frostbite is one of the common diseases in winter, which easily occurs in the humid and cold environment with the temperature below 10℃. Frostbite usually occurs on fingers, back of hand, toes, heels, ears and cheeks, and can occur unilaterally or bilaterally. The initial damage is local erythema or dark red with purple lump, which feels cold and itchy, and the itching is aggravated after heating. In severe cases, blisters appear, containing pale yellow or white serosity, which will form erosion or ulcer after rupture and feel pain.
Frostbite is mainly due to cold, wet or tight shoes and socks in winter, which affects local blood circulation. Cold causes skin blood vessels to contract, ischemia, abnormal metabolism, long-term paralysis and expansion of blood vessels, congestion, plasma exudation and local edema, forming blisters and even tissue necrosis. In addition, poor blood circulation in limbs, sweating in hands and feet, lack of exercise, malnutrition, anemia and autonomic nerve dysfunction are also the causes of chilblain. Some chronic diseases such as anemia, lupus erythematosus, scleroderma and rheumatoid arthritis can also cause chilblain.
After frostbite, if the skin is slightly unbroken, chilblain cream can be applied; Local warm bath, using one of eggplant seedlings and pepper seedlings or Folium Artemisiae Argyi, adding 10- 15 times of water, boiling and filtering, and soaking local 1-2 times a day, each time 15-30 minutes;
It can also be applied externally with lard and honey ointment (ratio 3: 7). If chilblain has been broken, 5% boric acid ointment and erythromycin ointment can be used externally and wrapped with sterile emery cloth;
You can also use 2 pieces of frost pepper stalks, 4 pieces of eggplant stalks and 3 pieces of pepper to decoct and smoke the affected area 1 time, and keep warm every day to avoid frostbite again. It's best to apply egg butter to frostbitten areas.
For people who are prone to frostbite and have suffered from frostbite in the past, they should pay attention to keep warm and exercise more, eat more foods with high protein and vitamins in winter, and eat more hot foods such as mutton and dog meat when necessary.
In addition, you can also rub the susceptible parts with ginger slices once a day in the morning and evening; Rub hands, ears and face repeatedly at ordinary times, and insist on washing hands and feet with hot water to enhance blood circulation of hands and feet.
