Antique crystal ball watch wall clock is true and false

We should judge the authenticity from the material, production process, movement and base.

(1) materials are light and thin, and they are all assembled and welded with thin copper plates, rather than integrally cast. Will be done layer by layer, so the gap between the plates is relatively large, the surface is not straight, and the overall weight of the watch is relatively light. (2) The process is gold plating instead of gold plating. Gold plating is a modern process, and gold plating in early years is a traditional process. A large part of the cost of this kind of clock is gold-plated, so it won't be very thick, and even the side and back of the clock stand are not gold-plated. (3) If the watch movement parts are worn, modern screws, nuts, gaskets and relatively new metal materials will be found. (4) The life span of real western clocks and watches is above 100 years, so the movement of clocks and watches is bound to wear, especially between the box shaft and the splint. It is wrong to find that this position has not passed through at all. Of course, the fake western clock must be old, including the movement, but it still doesn't care about the details. (5) Although the movements are imitations, the movements of western clocks and watches are marked, such as serial number, manufacturer's logo, production year, patent number, etc. And there may be imitations of western clocks and watches, but I have never seen a mark clearly recessed. Basically, they are all analog. Except for the movement, there should be very clear letters on the base of the clock, but there are basically no fake clocks. (6) It is easy to find problems inside the clock base, and the situation of shoddy and damaged watches will be clear at a glance, including the use of broken wood and poor welding technology. There are many modern retro craft tables in the market, with prices ranging from tens to hundreds according to the size, and some antique shops or stalls have them.
