Magnetic levitation elevator appears in China

A new type of elevator that is about to be put into production in Wuhan, China, can rise 20 meters in one second, which is equivalent to taking you from the first floor to the seventh floor in the blink of an eye.

The person in charge of Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone revealed that Wuhan Intelligent Elevator Co., Ltd. in the development zone has developed the world's first "maglev elevator". The elevator has a speed of 1-20 meters per second, making it the fastest in the world. elevator.

Chen Chunxing, general manager of Wuhan Intelligent Elevator Co., Ltd., said that following the launch of the elevator with a speed of 3 meters per second, the "maglev elevator" will be put on the market in the fourth quarter of this year and has passed the trial period.

It is understood that the "maglev elevator" uses magnetic levitation technology to control the elevator, which is smoother, more comfortable and less noisy than conventional elevators. In May 2007, after the completion of the 128-meter-high elevator test tower, the "maglev elevator" will be tested in the test tower and accepted by the State Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine and other departments.

Japan’s Toshiba elevator is also under development and requires investment in 2008. Wuhan can complete it one year in advance.
