Honors received by Dragon and Phoenix Gong Noodles

"Gucheng Longfeng Gong Noodles" is a traditional local specialty of Gucheng County, Hebei Province. When Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty passed by the old city on his southern tour of the Grand Canal, it was time for dinner. Local officials offered specialties and famous foods, and the county magistrate presented the noodles. When Emperor Qianlong tasted it, he was overjoyed, and he wrote the title "Gong Noodles with Dragon Beard and Phoenix Tail" in his own handwriting, and also gave him a gold plaque with gleaming gold characters on a black background. This story is still talked about by people today.

At the Nine Countries Handmade Products Competition held in Tianjin in 1900, Dragon and Phoenix Noodles won the bronze medal. Won the Hebei Province Quality Product Award in 1986. In 2006, it was listed in the first intangible cultural heritage list of Hebei Province.

In the first batch of provincial-level intangible cultural heritage items announced by the provincial government, the ancient city delicacy Longfeng Gongmian, which was once famous in the capital and the imperial palace, is on the list. And was invited to participate in the Hebei Province Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Achievements Exhibition. Hengshui City *** has four achievements selected, the other three are: Wuqiang New Year Paintings, Hengshui Internal Paintings and Shenzhou Xingyiquan.
