How to adjust the tightness of bicycle transmission

1. For the use of bicycle transmission, first of all, it should be explained that friends who have not thoroughly studied the structure of the transmission had better not adjust it by themselves. Blind operation may lead to poor quality or even failure of the transmission.

2. Make sure that the positions of each conduit are correct, they are all clamped into the bayonet of the frame, and the variable speed cable is installed correctly. Then tighten the variable speed adjusting screw and loosen it for 3 turns, and the adjusting screw on the variable speed shifting lever is also adjusted similarly. Straighten the wire as far as possible and lock the brake wire fixing screw on the rear transmission.

3. set the lever to the middle gear, such as the fourth gear. Then, adjust the speed-change adjusting screw on the rear dial. So that when the chain is on the corresponding tooth plate, the guide wheel and the tooth plate are on the same plane

4. Adjust the limit screw: the function of the limit screw is to prevent the chain from falling out of the smallest gear or being caught between the flywheel and the steel wire.

5. You can adjust the smallest gear first. Loosen the shift wrench to the minimum gear. See if the smallest gear and the guide wheel are in the same plane. Otherwise, adjust the screw. Usually marked with H. Adjust to the same plane.
