3 Historical evolution

edit

Guangxi Art College was founded in 1938, formerly known as "Training Class for Art Teachers in Guangxi Provincial Basic Schools for Nationalities" (referred to as "Artist Class" for short). It is the earliest professional school in Guangxi to train artistic talents. Through the efforts of several generations of artists, the music group of the artists' class has grown and developed into the Music School of Guangxi Arts University.

The Conservatory of Music is an important secondary college under Guangxi Arts University, and it is also the only important teaching institution in Guangxi that specializes in training talents in music performance, music creation, music education and music research. The Conservatory of Music of Guangxi Arts University has made irreplaceable contributions to the construction of Guangxi music culture and exerted a certain influence on the modern music history of China. The traditional spirit of "cultivating the heart of truth, goodness and beauty and realizing the society of truth, goodness and beauty" and the diligent, rigorous, realistic and innovative style of study are endless here and passed down from generation to generation.

1in the spring of 938, with the active support of Xu Beihong and Man, then music inspector of the Education Department, the venue of the "Academy of Fine Arts" in Zhongshan Park in Guilin was used. A 6-month "Training Course for Art Teachers in Guangxi Provincial Basic Schools for Nationalities" (night school) was held for in-service primary and secondary school teachers in Guilin. It aims to provide short-term art professional training for primary and secondary school teachers in Guilin and improve the strength of art teachers in Guilin. There were 83 students at that time, including 35 in the music group. The headmaster is Mr Mann qianzi.

1938 In the summer, Wu Bochao, one of the pioneers of music education in China, a famous music educator, composer and conductor, moved from Hunan to Guangxi as the head teacher of the Music Group.

1February, 940, Wu Bochao went to Chongqing as the president of the National Conservatory of Music, and was succeeded by Zhang Jiayao, director of the Department of Graphic and Audio Studies of the Provincial Education Department. In August, the class was officially renamed as Guangxi Art Teacher Training Class, which was independently administered. The class is located in Zhengyang Building, Wangcheng, and recruits students from the second two-year advanced class and one-year junior class. 194 1 May, Ma took over as the head teacher. With his efforts, the scale of the artist class has been continuously developed, and the third two-year senior class was recruited in autumn. 1942 applied for a one-year seminar in the summer. 1July, 943, graduated from the research class of the third advanced class. Due to financial difficulties, classes were suspended and handed over to normal schools. In August, we were ordered to recruit a new class for the advanced class and a new class for the junior class. In late May 1944, three-year and five-year freshmen were admitted. 1In late July, 944, the Battle of Gui Xiang started. 165438 10, the whole city of Guilin fell and the artists were forced to leave Yangshuo.

At that time, the music teachers who taught in the artists' class were Man, Wu Bochao, Ma, Lu, Di Runjun, Yao Mu, Liu Shixin, Zhen, (Liang Xue), Shi Sifen and Ou Mubo.

1946, the artist class merged with the private Rongmen Art College, renamed as "Guangxi Art College", with Ma as the principal, and enrolled 19 two-year music students. The music department offers courses such as vocal music, piano, music theory, harmony, counterpoint, chorus, audio-visual ear training and music history. There are no special classes.

1947, President Ma resigned and was replaced by. The school moved to Wanshoushan Temple (the former site of Guangxi provincial capital) near Elephant Trunk Mountain in Guilin, and enrolled five-year students for the first time (all of them enjoyed free treatment), including music major 12, which was divided into three professional classes: vocal music, piano, orchestral music and composition, with Jiang as the head of the music department.

195 1 year 10 The Art College was reorganized, and Man qianzi was transferred to the Department of Music, and Yang Taiyang was transferred from Guangzhou to take over as the principal. 1in the autumn of 953, according to the adjustment and deployment of national colleges and universities, Guangxi Art College was abolished, and some teachers and students were merged into Central South Conservatory of Music (Wuhan) with the Music Department.

1March, 958, Guangxi Art College was rebuilt. The campus of Guangxi University for Nationalities, located in Xixiangtang, Nanning, is temporarily used for running schools. Yuan Siyao, Party Secretary and Vice President of Guangxi University for Nationalities, is the president of Guangxi Art College, and Dong Qixiang (female) is the full vice president. The head of the music department is Chen Wei, secretary of the Party branch of the department (in June of 5438+0 1 year, Xue was transferred to take over as the party branch secretary of the department), in which the music department has three majors: composition, vocal music and instrumental music. The academic system is tentatively set as a two-year college, and the training goal is mainly to transport music cadres to cultural centers in counties and cities of Guangxi. In order to support art education in Guangxi minority areas, teachers and graduates were transferred from Beijing, Shanghai, Wuhan, Guangzhou and other big cities to Guangxi Art College, forming a high-level and powerful art teacher team.

From September 65438 to September 0959, the Music Department enrolled four-year undergraduate students majoring in vocal music, instrumental music and composition for the first time. The original 58-level professional academic system was changed to two-year college and four-year undergraduate respectively. At the same time, five-year music classes (starting point of primary school graduation) were enrolled for the first time. For the first time, three-year students majoring in music, art and drama were enrolled in the preparatory class (the starting point of junior high school graduation), including music major (the second class).

1960 In April, with the approval of the people's government of Guangxi District, Guangxi Art College was upgraded to "Guangxi Art College", and the academic system of junior college was officially changed to four years of undergraduate course. In July, I moved to the former site of Guangxi Teachers' Training School, that is, the current site of Guangxi Art College, near Nanhu in Nanning. Yue Ping is the president and party secretary, and the full vice president.

From 1965 to 197 1 year, there was no enrollment because of the four clean-ups and the Cultural Revolution. After June 1966, due to the Cultural Revolution, the teaching in the whole hospital came to a standstill.

1972 In March, the revolutionary literature and art department of Guangxi Arts University was established, and the whole department was divided into two groups: music and art.

1976 In March, the Department of Revolutionary Literature and Art was renamed as the Department of Art Teachers College, with equal emphasis on music and fine arts. In September, 1978, undergraduate students majoring in music teachers were enrolled.

1in March, 1988, the art normal department was abolished, and the music education major merged with the music department.

1In July, 1995, on the basis of the approval of Guangxi Education Commission to restore the art normal department, the major of music education was separated from the music department and the "Music Normal Department" was established.

From June 5438 to February 2003, according to the needs of the development of education, the school upgraded all departments to secondary colleges, the music department was renamed as the Conservatory of Music, and the music normal department was renamed as the Conservatory of Music Education.

From June 5438 to February 2008, the Conservatory of Music of Guangxi Arts University merged with the Conservatory of Music Education to form a new Conservatory of Music of Guangxi Arts University.

At this point, the Conservatory of Music has entered a new stage of historical development, and has made remarkable achievements in discipline construction, personnel training, teaching and research, laying a solid foundation for building Guangxi Art College into a comprehensive art college with national artistic characteristics, having certain influence in Southeast Asia and being among the advanced ranks of similar universities in China.
