NVIDIA has the technology to make GPU, so why not just follow suit and make APU?

CPU has ARM architecture and X86 architecture, X86 is used for computers, and server ARM is used for mobile devices and servers.

At present, X86 is a patent of intel, but intel and amd have a series of complicated cross-licensing agreements, resulting in X86 architecture in the desktop market being used only by intel and AMD.

AMD has GPU technology, so it can be an APU.

AMD is the only company in the market that can provide GPU CPU chipset (motherboard chip) at the same time, and it also involves the memory SSD market, so it is difficult to acquire AMD (there are a lot of complicated patent licensing agreements).

Although NVIDIA is a GPU, it has no X86 patent, so it can only cooperate with ARM to produce CPU with ARM architecture. No program on PC can run under ARM architecture, but ARM architecture has entered the server market because of its low power consumption.

At present, CPU is almost dominated by intel. intel can't be a strong enemy. nvidia doesn't have a CPU patent, and Intel can't license it to nvidia.

AMD has also been authorized by ARM to launch products with ARM architecture on 20 14, and the competition will be more intense.
