American patent star

Technology has no borders? Does anyone still believe this sentence?

When a certain technology of an enterprise shows a catch-up trend in a certain field, the so-called "technology without borders" will be broken.

For example, when Huawei's 5G rose strongly and the United States could not "sanction" Huawei through patents and technologies, it smashed the table.

On the one hand, it vigorously discredits Huawei's unsafe equipment and there is a so-called back door; On the other hand, it is strongly demanded to dismantle Huawei equipment and give high subsidies.

It is reported that in order to dismantle Huawei equipment, the US FCC (Federal Communications Commission) has previously applied for US$ 654.38+0.9 billion to subsidize local operators.

But until now, the plan to dismantle Huawei equipment has not been completed for the simple reason that they underestimated the cost of dismantling Huawei equipment.

Foreign media said that dismantling Huawei equipment is far more difficult than the FCC imagined. As of last year, 10, the number of operators applying for reimbursement has soared from the previous 52 to 18 1.

One of the most direct effects is that the original subsidy of 6543.8 yuan+900 million yuan is completely insufficient. According to the latest data, the FCC raised the estimated cost of dismantling Huawei equipment to 5.6 billion US dollars, nearly three times higher than before.

What does this mean? Obviously, the subsidy of $654.38+$90 million alone is probably not enough to dismantle Huawei equipment, and the huge gap of $3.7 billion, or about RMB 20 billion, is enough to give the FCC a headache.

Of course, as far as the current situation is concerned, even though the cost of dismantling has soared, the FCC of the United States has not spared Huawei and is still obsessed with completely dismantling Huawei equipment.

Then the problem is coming. Huawei, which is only in the leading position in the field of 5G communication, has been so severely targeted. Why use American GPS to "grab the rice bowl"?

First of all, how exaggerated the market share of GPS is. Let's just say that in the domestic market, GPS and navigation are almost connected, and navigation is GPS navigation.

Moreover, although GPS navigation has spent 20 billion dollars and 20 years of research and development, on the one hand, it is difficult to charge fees, and on the other hand, in order to expand the market, the strategy of "global free" has been implemented from the beginning. So this is the story of GPS popularization and rapid occupation of the global market.

In addition, after America occupied the market, it actively promoted its own GPS, to the effect that independent research and development is very expensive and easy to be thankless. It is better to kill two birds with one stone by using free GPS!

However, free things are often the most expensive!

When GPS navigation has been applied to the "military field" for many times, after the "Galaxy Incident", we will understand that only by developing our own satellite navigation system can we not be bullied casually!

So there is the Beidou navigation system that we can now "grab the rice bowl" with GPS.

Of course, the journey of developing Beidou navigation system is not smooth sailing. For example, considering the difficulty of research and development and the problem of funds, we actually adopt a "three-step" strategy. The whole Beidou navigation system consists of Beidou 1, Beidou-2 and Beidou-3 respectively.

It is worth mentioning that when we completed the "first step" and prepared to cooperate with the Galileo satellite navigation system of the European Union, we were "pitted" because of the problem of funds and the occupation of the best orbit, and we lost the market but didn't get the technology. Therefore, it is not advisable to exchange the market for technology. )

Finally, I also tightened my belt and quit Galileo. This is now a completely independent Beidou navigation system.

It is precisely because we insist on independent research and development and have completely independent research and development technology that the United States cannot help us. Even if Beidou is still suppressed, up to now, China's Beidou satellite navigation system has signed cooperation agreements with 37 countries around the world.

Specifically, China's Beidou navigation system came from behind, and it is called the world's four largest satellite navigation systems together with American GPS, European Galileo and Russian GLONASS.

The Beidou system also won the first place in many fields:

For example, in terms of accuracy, Beidou system is the first system to adopt three-frequency positioning technology, so the positioning will be more accurate than the other three systems;

For example, judging from the number of satellites invested, Beidou launched a total of 55 satellites, far exceeding the other three major navigation systems;

For example, in terms of the number of patent applications, Beidou Navigation ranked first with a total of 74,897 patent applications in 20 19 years;

In addition, China's Beidou system has formed an industrial scale with an annual output value of 403.3 billion. Beidou navigation system is installed in most postal vehicles, mobile phones and official ships in China.

In fact, to put it simply, the Huawei incident and the Galaxy incident, including the rise of Beidou satellite navigation in China, all show one thing: technology has national boundaries!

Free things may be "cheap", but they may not be easy to use!

Finally, I ask you a question. Is your mobile phone equipped with GPS navigation or Beidou navigation?
