The US Special Forces Command came up with an idea: instead of spending money on Russian weapons, why not make Russian weapons yourself? This is why the US Special Operations Command requires US military enterprises to manufacture Russian and other foreign weapons. The goal of this "weapons innovation research plan" proposed by the US Special Forces Command is to "develop domestic weapons production and innovation capabilities and produce full-featured foreign weapons replicas equivalent to or superior to the current international production level."
Specifically, the US Special Forces Command hopes to produce the following foreign weapons: 7.62×54R light machine gun (similar to PKM machine gun) and 12.7× 108mm heavy machine gun (similar to an NSV). The US Special Forces Command only provides requirements and will not provide technical drawings for military enterprises. Military enterprises must draw their own drawings of foreign weapons, do everything possible to find suitable spare parts and raw materials, and carry out independent production.
Enterprises must also abide by the condition that "manufacturing parts must support deployed weapons", and must also start and stop production at any time when necessary, and provide various weapons designated by the US military. The US Special Forces Command also stressed that these foreign weapons purchased by the US military must be manufactured in the United States, and military enterprises can only hire domestic labor and purchase domestic materials and parts to ensure that weapons are manufactured and assembled in domestic facilities.
