In the early 1990s, installing a landline phone was once a sign of "well-off" in people's minds and a symbol of status. Landline telephones are really out of reach for ordinary people.
At the same time that landline telephones flourished, the first-generation instant messaging tool BP machine also entered the public eye. The paging device that transmitted text messages through an artificial station became popular all over the country. "Call me if you have anything" became a buzzword of the times. . Almost at the same time as the BP machine, there was also a more expensive mobile communication device - Big Brother.
The invention of the telephone:
In 1861, a German teacher invented the most primitive telephone, which could communicate with each other over short distances using the principle of sound waves, but it was not put into actual use.
The inventor of the telephone has always been controversial. One said it was Antonio Meucci, another said it was Bell, and another said it was Elisha Gray. There are many such things, the most famous one is Newton With Leibniz's story about calculus, the main controversy was between Meucci and Bell.
In 1849, the 41-year-old Meucci accidentally discovered that wires could transmit some sounds during an electric shock treatment. Then he made a simple sound transmission system. In 1860, the 52-year-old Meucci presented to The system was demonstrated to the public and an introduction to the invention was published in an Italian-language newspaper in New York, when his rival Alexander Bell was only 13 years old.
Because he was too poor to pay the patent maintenance fee, he sent the model and technical details to the Western Union Telegraph Company, hoping to get commercial use, but nothing happened. On February 14, 1876, Bell, who used the same laboratory as Meucci, filed an application for a telephone patent with the U.S. Patent Office, and the application was approved on March 3.
However, whether Bell independently invented the telephone, improved the sound transmission equipment, plagiarized Meucci, or adopted a different principle, please stay calm and wait until science and technology have developed to a certain extent. It is common for the same creations and ideas to occur in multiple places.
Telegraph lines were originally used to transmit telephone signals. However, when using this line to transmit telephone calls, the noise interfered greatly, so people were not allowed to improve the communication lines. In 1883, a line using a second wire as a loop appeared, which greatly reduced the noise interference in telephone communications.
