Second, what is the main cause of composite insulator damage?
Composite insulators and insulating sleeves are affected by working voltage and overvoltage, conductor weight, dead weight, ice weight, wind power, short-circuit electromotive force of the system, mechanical force and vibration force of equipment operation, and also by changes in atmospheric conditions and environmental pollution. Therefore, its working conditions are bad. Common faults and their causes are as follows:
1, creepage trajectory. The reason is that the insulation surface forms a path due to discharge carbonization, which gradually develops, leading to flashover grounding short circuit accident.
2. Oil leakage. The reason is that serious oil leakage such as cracking, dislocation and aging of sealing materials will cause insulation breakdown of casing and may also cause equipment damage.
3. Corona. The reasons are the discharge of the protruding part on the terminal fittings, the surface discharge of the insulation surface pollution, cracks and internal defects.
4. The terminal is overheated. Overheating, discoloration and shortened insulator life caused by poor connection.
