Moutai is a traditional specialty wine in China. It is one of the world's three largest distilled spirits, which is as famous as Scotch whisky and French cognac, and also one of China's three famous wines. It is also the originator of Daqu Maotai-flavor liquor with a history of more than 800 years.
The style and quality characteristics of Kweichow Moutai are "outstanding maotai flavor, elegant and delicate, full-bodied, long aftertaste and lasting fragrance in empty cups", and its special style comes from the unique traditional brewing technology formed over the years. Extended data:
In Maotai Distillery Group, there are several photos of President Mao Zedong and foreign guests clinking glasses with Moutai. Among them are two photos of Chairman Mao and Prime Minister Kim Il Sung of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea clinking glasses.
These two photos were taken from opposite angles, but Kim Il Sung smiled and bared his teeth slightly, showing his reverence and respect for Chairman Mao clearly and vividly. Chairman Mao's steady and wise eyes stayed on the cup, but he clearly felt Kim Il Sung's gaze and greetings.
His big hand gently holds a goblet full of Moutai, and naturally slightly raises the wine lamp warmly extended by Kim Il Sung. Everything is carried out in a specific historical environment.
Mao Zedong and Kim Il Sung are friends, comrades-in-arms, comrades-in-arms and drinkers. Because Kim Il Sung likes to drink Moutai, Mao Zedong gave him Moutai because he likes it.
At that time, March of 1973 was a beautiful spring season. Kim Il Sung brought Moutai to Mao Zedong, and Mao Zedong got the news. He called the Central Military Commission and ordered three boxes of Moutai produced by 1952 to be transported to Beijing by air, two boxes for Kim Il Sung and one box for the central government.
