China's intellectual property rights include inventions, utility models and designs. Relevant intellectual property laws include copyright law, patent law and trademark law.
For example, Article 11 of China's Patent Law stipulates that after the patent right for invention and utility model is granted, no unit or individual may exploit its patent without the permission of the patentee, that is, it shall not manufacture, use, sell its patented product or use its patented method for production and business purposes except as stipulated in Article 14 of this Law.
After the design patent is granted, no unit or individual may exploit the patent without the permission of the patentee, that is, may not manufacture or sell its patented products for production and business purposes.
