The kinetic energy recovery strategy of Qichen DD-i is similar to that of BMW, that is, when the vehicle is taxiing or braking, the vehicle starts kinetic energy recovery, and it can adaptively adjust the kinetic energy recovery intensity by sensing the distance from the preceding vehicle and the driving state through the camera outside the vehicle. If the system determines that there is no car ahead, the taxi distance will be longer, and if there is a car ahead, the taxi distance will be shortened, which is simply the "fool" mode.

From the structural point of view, Qichen's DD-i ultra-hybrid technology is more inclined to the series mode: power is given priority, and the engine will only be directly driven under the conditions of power loss, rapid acceleration and high speed. Its structure is similar to the current mainstream hybrid scheme, so why can it mention the concept of "super hybrid"? This is the second topic I want to talk about.

as we all know, the single-gear series and parallel hybrid technology is characterized by large motor power, small engine output and small battery capacity. For example, BYD Song Pro has a motor power of 18kW, an engine of 1.5L, only 81kW, and a battery capacity of only 8.3kWh. This kind of motor is strong, the engine is weak, and the battery capacity is not large, which mainly depends on the motor output. Therefore, fuel saving is the advantage of DHT, but the disadvantage is also obvious, that is, the power is relatively poor under extreme working conditions such as high speed, high altitude and low temperature. The reason is that the motor cannot exert its maximum performance under the influence of the battery, and it relies more on the parallel drive of the internal combustion engine to provide power, but the overall power of the internal combustion engine is not high enough. The emergence of multi-gear DHT technology is to let the engine participate more in efficient power output and solve the disadvantages of insufficient power.

qichen's DD-i super hybrid adopts another solution. The system is equipped with a 1.5T engine with a maximum power of 12kW and a maximum torque of 23 N m. The official zero acceleration is within 7.9 seconds, and the overall performance is not lost to traditional fuel vehicles. In addition, this system will start the engine at low temperature, and heat the battery through the heat generated by the engine to ensure the normal operation of the hybrid system, which greatly improves the problems of limited engine power and insufficient single-gear series-parallel power caused by low temperature.
