The difference between slate and tile

Rock slabs and tiles are commonly used materials in decoration. What's their difference?

Shading method

The shading of tiles is very deep and obvious, while the shading of rock slabs is very thin or even absent.

colour

The bottom of the rock slab is one color, that is, the whole body, while the bottom blank and complexion of the ceramic tile are two colors, with obvious color difference.

weight

For the same area of board, the weight of rock slab is lighter and thinner, less than one-third of that of ceramic tile, so rock slab is easier to install and transport.

High temperature resistance

Rock slabs are made by firing at a high temperature of 1200 degrees for 72 hours. When encountering high temperature, they will not change color and smoke, but the tiles will turn black after burning.
