3. China citizens who have been engaged in patent examination for seven years may apply for exemption from patent agency practice.
Provisions on patent agent's application for examination.
"Measures for the Implementation of Patent Agent Qualification Examination" Article 5 The patent agent qualification examination shall be held once a year, and the national unified proposition shall be implemented. The scope of the proposition is subject to the examination outline. The exam includes the following subjects:
(1) Knowledge of patent law.
(2) Relevant legal knowledge.
(3) Patent agency practice.
Article 6 The examination is a closed-book examination and adopts computerized examination.
Article 7 The examination shall be graded uniformly throughout the country. The organization and coordination of marking shall be the responsibility of the examination committee office.
Article 8 Candidates who have passed all subjects within three years will be awarded the China National Intellectual Property Administration Patent Agent Qualification Certificate after passing the examination.
