Cu? (Cu?) widely exists in Fujian cities. Influenced by Minnan songs and Fujian tourism, many people think that Cu? is a patent in Fujian coastal areas or exclusive to Minnan place names. In fact, Cu? is a feature of the whole Minnan dialect, which is distributed from northern Fujian, eastern Fujian to southern Fujian, and even Chaoshan and Leizhou. It is even more common to use this as a place name, because most of the distribution areas of Min dialect are inhabited by families with the same surname, so place names often start with surnames and end with "Cuo", "Zhai", "Dian" and "Lin".
According to the statistics of Guihai Four Records, there are about 5,213 administrative units above village level in Xiamen, Zhangquan, and the probability of "Cuo" is about 2%, among which Xiamen has the highest frequency, accounting for 4.73%, ranking fourth.
