Cao Jianguo, male, from Tonghe, Heilongjiang Province, doctor of science, currently associate professor at Shanghai Normal University, researcher at the Shanghai Normal University Research Institute, and director of the Chinese Pteridophyta Association. He graduated from the Biology Department of Harbin Normal University in 1992, received his master's degree in 2001, and his doctorate in 2004.

In terms of teaching, he is mainly responsible for teaching courses such as "Botany", "Plant Resources", "Botany Experiments", "Food Resources", "Biological Microphotography and Multimedia Production Technology". In 2007, he won the first prize for outstanding teaching achievements of Shanghai Normal University; in 2008, he won the second prize of outstanding teaching achievements of Shanghai Normal University; in 2009, he won the second prize of Shanghai Normal University for outstanding teaching achievements.

Scientific research is mainly engaged in the study of plant biology. The research directions include: ①

Pteridophyte development and reproductive biology, mainly studying fern gametophyte development and its differentiation mechanism. Gametogenesis and differentiation, fertilization and embryonic development, etc.; ② Development and utilization of spore plant resources, mainly researching the introduction and domestication of ferns, research on secondary metabolites of resource ferns, cultivation of resource algae, etc. In recent years, he has completed 2 National Natural Science Foundation projects as a main member, presided over 1 National Natural Science Foundation project, 2 Shanghai Municipal Education Commission projects, and 1 school industrialization project. He has published more than 30 papers, published by Science Press and Higher Education. He has published 6 books and applied for 1 patent.
