A case that is difficult to write about but has to be written about, might as well be used as a kind of experience

After writing these two cases that had tortured me for a long time, and after sending the manuscript to the client, I felt relaxed. It turned out that it was not as difficult as I thought, and it was possible to write it. Maybe at the beginning There is something wrong with my mentality. If I find it difficult, I am unwilling to use my brain or write. The less willing I am to write, the more I want to escape.

I remember when I first entered the IP industry, I couldn’t write the technical briefing paper provided by the customer, so I asked the leader.

"Leader, I don't know how to start with this. Please teach me!"

"Have you retrieved it?"

"No."

"Go and search first, and then come to me after searching."

"Leader, I have searched. The existing technology for the technical solutions provided by the customer has been made public, and there is no creativity."

"Don't say there is no creativity. First tell me, what is the difference between the technical solution provided by the customer and the existing technology? What is the effect of the difference."

I am speechless. "Look for the difference, look for the effect. Write. Even if there is no difficulty, try to create difficulties."

As time goes by, I gradually found that there are more and more cases like this. No matter how difficult I think it is, In the end, I have to bite the bullet and rack my brains to write it out. It can't just be a coping method, but it must be written with the purpose of authorization.

As time went by, I gradually discovered that as a patent attorney, it is common to face cases that are difficult to write about but have to write about.

How many times have I wanted to quit; how many times have I complained in my heart about why the client couldn’t provide something with high technical content; how many times have I resented the boss in my heart, why should I write such a difficult case? Continue...

If you want to continue in this industry, you have to force yourself to write down no matter how difficult the case is, unless you want to escape from this industry.

One day I discovered that although writing cases in this industry is actually very difficult, when the case you write is authorized and when the client appreciates you, you suddenly find that all the efforts are worth it. , in fact, this business is still very meaningful.

So, I started trying to find a solution. Solutions are always forced out. I studied the review guide carefully, and over time, I found that writing is just a three-step process.

Step one: Conduct an in-depth study of the customer’s technical solution based on the technical brief provided by the customer, to truly understand the customer’s technical solution, and then conduct a search to find the closest existing technology;

Step 2: Compare the technical solution provided by the customer with the closest existing technology, find out the distinguishing technical features, and determine the technical problems to be solved and the technical effects achieved by the distinguishing technical features;

Step 3: Check whether the above technical problems and technical effects have been disclosed in other existing technologies. If not, then write them creatively; if they have been disclosed, further discuss with the customer whether other technical problems can be solved. Are there any other improvements?

As a patent agent, remember not to be impetuous. When receiving a difficult case, you must be able to calm down, face it with a positive attitude, and find ways to solve the problem. It’s not a simple sentence: “If you’re not creative, just leave it alone.”

All living beings suffer from not being able to seek what they want. Most of the things they cannot seek are happiness, and pure happiness is delusion unless they reach bliss early.

Putting down a pick is like drinking poison to quench your thirst. The longer you live, the more you will find that if you want to put it down to make yourself more comfortable, you can only stop at talking and picking it up will not be done cleanly.

What's more, if you take away your studies, take off your job, take off your broken love, take off your marriage, take off all the components of life that contain painful elements... there is nothing left for a person. Bring it alive.

Pain is always there, but there is no need to rigidly and deliberately ask yourself to have this strength or that strength. You can't fight with bare hands. Thinking clearly is more effective than blindly fighting.

As a patent attorney, you face new fields, new cases, and new challenges almost every day. When faced with difficult cases, escaping is not an option, not to mention that many times it is impossible to escape. If you lose it, you might as well regard it as an experience.
