First, the content introduction

With the improvement of people's living standards, the health of various daily necessities has become the trend of social development. At present, products in many fields, including household appliances and daily necessities, are using antibacterial materials as additives to make various consumer goods with antibacterial functions, such as antibacterial refrigerators, antibacterial plastic packaging, antibacterial textiles and so on. At present, the most widely used antibacterial agent abroad is silver-loaded antibacterial agent.

It is found that attapulgite is a natural one-dimensional nano-material with large specific surface area, adsorption performance and chemical reactivity. Under appropriate conditions, silver nitrate reacts with attapulgite and organic reductant, and silver is loaded on the surface of attapulgite nanorod crystals in the form of exchangeable ions and nano-silver particles, and the diameter of silver particles formed is only a few nanometers. This kind of silver particle has great activity and can release the required silver ions continuously and slowly. Nano-silver particles are firmly combined with attapulgite and have excellent antibacterial properties.

The antibacterial material prepared by the invention belongs to attapulgite-silver nano composite material. Due to the small particle size of silver particles, the consumption of precious metals is reduced, the activity and durability of antibacterial materials are increased, and the performance of antibacterial materials is improved. Attapulgite clay, the main raw material, is a non-metallic mineral with China characteristics, which is widely distributed in the border areas of Jiangsu and Anhui, with rich sources and low prices. Compared with other antibacterial materials, attapulgite-silver nano-composite antibacterial materials have low production cost, price advantage and broad market prospects.

Main raw materials: attapulgite clay, silver nitrate and additives (an organic compound). There is no waste water and waste gas emission in production and no environmental pollution.

Transmission electron microscope images of attapulgite-nano-silver composites show that the silver particles loaded on the surface of attapulgite are only 2 ~ 5 nm.
