BYD Han EV adopts high-performance silicon carbide module for the first time for 100 kilometers and 3.9 seconds.

A few days ago, BYD announced that the self-developed "high-performance silicon carbide MOSFET motor control module" was applied for the first time in one of the large cars, Han EV, which helped it accelerate from 0- 100km/h in only 3.9 seconds. BYD's brand-new Tang DM once set an acceleration record of 4.3 seconds per 100 kilometers, which once made people think that this was the limit of BYD. However, experts are never satisfied with the status quo, so the BYD Korean EV model, which will be launched this year, broke the record of Tang DM and was promoted to the new accelerated champion of BYD's production car family. The new car adopts the form of full-time four-wheel drive with front and rear dual motors, and adopts "blade battery" for the first time. According to the previous information, the car may be listed at the end of the second quarter/the beginning of the third quarter (around June) in 2020.

"Han" is BYD's high-end new energy vehicle, focusing on the needs of new energy vehicle users, grasping the development trend of new energy vehicles, and carrying out primary active development. BYD Korea applied the "High Performance Silicon Carbide MOSFET Motor Control Module" for the first time to help BYD Korea accelerate EV 0- 100km/h in only 3.9 seconds! This achievement has set a new record of 4.3 seconds created by the new Tang DM, making Han EV a new accelerated champion of BYD's production car family. BYD Han has thus become a full member of the "3 seconds club" of the global zero-acceleration mass production car.

"Han" is a medium and large car, with the length, width and height of 4980/1910/495 mm respectively, and the wheelbase reaches 2920 mm It is worth mentioning that only a few high-end luxury cars enter the "3 seconds club", such as BMW? CS, Audi RS6? Avant, Mercedes-Benz -AMG S63? L, Alfa Romeo Giulia clover, Bentley Flying? Branch line (flight) and so on.

BYD has equipped the EV with a high-speed drive motor assembly with the highest speed exceeding 15000 rpm. Its motor controller adopts the high-performance silicon carbide MOSFET control module independently developed and manufactured by BYD for the first time. Silicon carbide module can reduce the internal resistance, increase the overcurrent capacity of the electronic control system, and make the power and torque of the motor to the extreme, thus greatly improving the performance of the motor.

In terms of power, BYD Han EV adopts the form of full-time four-wheel drive with front and rear dual motors, and the total power of front and rear motors reaches 363kW. BYD Han EV will be the first vehicle to adopt BYD's "Blade Battery". The output voltage of blade battery reaches 570 volts, and the peak current can reach 800A with advanced thermal management system.

BYD's reputation and sales in China have always been very good, and BYD Korea EV has further improved BYD. BYD thinks that the performance evaluation of a car is excellent enough. Although beautiful performance parameters have certain reference significance, it is more important that there must be "real effort" behind the parameters to meet the "real needs" of users.
