As for Sanxingdui, there is no written record. Personally, I think this is normal in early civilization. Characters were formed in the middle and late Shang Dynasty. At present, no shaped characters have been found in the early Shang Dynasty and its surrounding civilizations, and at most there is only a transitional stage from early symbols to characters. Therefore, for Sanxingdui in this period, the growth of its civilization did not form words. Maybe we can find some symbols at most, so we can only expect archaeological discoveries.

The first choice is to clarify the definition and category of Chinese civilization. The Chinese nation is not a single nation, and Chinese civilization is not a single element civilization. Ethnically, the Chinese nation continued to merge from the Neolithic Age, forming the Huaxia nation in the Xia and Shang Dynasties, and continued to merge in the Han Dynasty, and finally formed a Chinese nation composed of the Han nationality and many ethnic minorities in modern times.

From the perspective of civilization, the culture of the Chinese nation is diverse, which is related to the continuous ethnic integration in history. Therefore, Chinese civilization is not a single civilization, but an inclusive civilization with the early Central Plains as the core and radiating exchanges around it. According to the current archaeology and some records, in the early Three Dynasties, that is, the Shang Dynasty followed the Xia Dynasty, there were not only Xia civilizations in the Central Plains of China, but also many civilizations including Xia civilization and Shang civilization coexisted. There are many secondary civilizations around the Central Plains civilization, including Liangzhu civilization and Sanxingdui civilization, which are familiar to everyone recently. These peripheral civilizations are not isolated from the Central Plains civilization, but have different degrees of communication, which can be seen from the unearthed cultural relics.

In fact, some things of Sanxingdui civilization were excavated in the 1970s, such as the famous bronze trees and vertical masks, which have been on display in museums for a long time, not recently. The age of these cultural relics is basically consistent with the middle and late Shang Dynasty, and these exquisite cultural relics are not found in the early Sanxingdui cultural relics. From the cultural relics unearthed in Sanxingdui, we can see that Sanxingdui not only has unique characteristics different from the Central Plains civilization, but also has cultural characteristics from the Central Plains civilization. This shows that the early Sanxingdui may have the same origin as the Central Plains civilization, but its branches are different, and there is a certain degree of communication and integration with the Central Plains civilization in the middle and late stages.

Therefore, Sanxingdui is not completely independent of Chinese civilization, but an early branch of Chinese civilization and belongs to a part of Chinese civilization.
