Is there any prospect for a doctor of biology to be a patent agent?

From the perspective of national policy, intellectual property is a sunrise industry, so the prospect is good. Judging from the current income of patent agents, most of them are ok, especially in developed cities such as Guangzhou, Shanghai and Beijing.

But personally, no matter what you do, some people are not suitable. Patent agency is a combination of law and technology, which requires both a certain education background in science and engineering and good language (including oral and written) expression ability. As far as work is concerned, you also need good communication skills, especially in the initial stage. No matter how high your education is, you should believe that your customers have excellent professional knowledge, good communication skills and strong expression skills.

My advice to you is that a patent agent needs an agent qualification certificate. You can check it first. It should not be a question of the quality of doctors. After getting the certificate, find an office and see if you can hang the certificate in that office. Next, it depends on your own choice, full-time investment, spelling out a world by yourself, or part-time job first, and slowly transition with experience.
