Which courts are under the jurisdiction of patent dispute cases?

Paragraph 1 of Article 2 of the Supreme People's Court's Interpretation on the Application of the Civil Procedure Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) stipulates: "Patent dispute cases shall be under the jurisdiction of intellectual property courts, intermediate people's courts and grassroots people's courts determined by the Supreme People's Court." The Intellectual Property Court is a judicial institution decided by the 10th session of the 12th the National People's Congress Standing Committee (NPCSC), which is located in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. A lawsuit brought for patent infringement shall be under the jurisdiction of the people's court of the place where the infringement occurred or the defendant's domicile. The people's court of domicile is the intermediate people's court and the basic people's court determined by the Supreme People's Court.
