Thesis English reference format

The English reference format of the paper is as follows:

1. Omission of references. Citation of original sources: When quoting directly in the text, the author, year, and page number should be indicated in parentheses. If any information is omitted, use 3 ellipsis marks in the sentence to mark... when using English, and 6 ellipsis marks in Chinese. If information between two sentences is omitted, use 4 ellipsis marks to mark ‥‥ in English, and 6 ellipsis marks in Chinese....

2. Large paragraph quotations. When the Chinese quotation exceeds 160 words, do not use quotation marks, but use the "block" form of the quotation starting on a new line. The first line is indented by 4 spaces, aligned at both ends, and each subsequent line is indented.

3. Basic format. When the same author is cited repeatedly in the same paragraph, the date must be written the first time, and the date can be omitted after the second time. English literature: In a recent study of reaction times, Walker (2000) described the method…Walker also found….

4. Single author, English document: surname, year of publication or publication or surname, year of publication or publication. For example: Porter 2001…or…Porter, 2001.

Notes:

Different journals, different majors, and different universities have different format requirements for graduation thesis. The citation types are mainly divided into Journal, Book-Chapter, Patent, Conference and Thesis.

It is strongly recommended to use bibliographic management software to auto-populate by selecting the format type. This saves a lot of tedious work in sorting out the document format at the end of the article.
