Wuhan University Intellectual Property Information Service Center is located in Room 303, Wuhan University Library Engineering Branch. The intellectual property information service of Wuhan University Library began in 2003. After years of cultivation and development, it has a certain ability of patent information service.

On July 20 18, the intellectual property information service center of Wuhan University was established, which is affiliated to the library of Wuhan University. In 2020, it was approved by China National Intellectual Property Administration and the Ministry of Education as one of the "National Intellectual Property Information Service Centers of Universities".

Under the leadership of China National Intellectual Property Administration and the Ministry of Education, the center is committed to providing comprehensive information services for the creation, application, protection and management of intellectual property rights in schools, supporting collaborative innovation and the construction of dominant disciplines in schools, enhancing the innovation ability of schools and promoting the transformation of scientific and technological achievements. At the same time, the center gives full play to its social service function and provides intellectual property information services for enterprises and institutions in related industries and local economic and industrial development.

On the basis of investigation, in June of this year, 5438+ 10, the China National Intellectual Property Administration Office and the General Office of the Ministry of Education jointly issued the Implementation Measures for the Construction of Intellectual Property Information Service Centers in Colleges and Universities. In March, the Science and Technology Development Center of the Ministry of Education also invited more than 20 domestic librarians to hold a seminar on intellectual property information service in colleges and universities. Since then, colleges and universities all over the country have responded and actively carried out the construction of intellectual property information service centers.
