As a social phenomenon or social system, religion is both sacred and mass. Those who love philosophy and then study and research it are the persistent pursuit of a small number of people at any time. It is normal for ordinary people to be "sloppy" and have picture-like thinking. This is a historical fact. And this will certainly be the case in the future. Regardless of whether Feng Youlan's views on religion have any academic basis or not, even if we take a step back, his views are correct. The idea of ??replacing religion with philosophy will always be the patent of a few people. For the majority of people, philosophy cannot replace religion. So my opinion is that for highly educated intellectuals, philosophy is higher than religion. Even so, philosophy cannot replace religion. Therefore, Feng Youlan’s view of “replacing religion with philosophy” does not have universal significance. As Russell said, philosophy and religion should each perform their respective duties. Philosophy is a kind of knowledge between theology and science. Theology refers to the understanding of God in religion through conscious thinking, that is, research, so it is used by liberal philosophers and thinkers to rethink and analyze religion; religious theology refers to the study of theology within the traditional religious system. The explanation is the maintenance and education within the system. Therefore, the starting point and purpose of the two are different. So there is a slight difference in logic. Logically speaking, the connotation is the explanation of God in religion, but theology belongs to the ideological and philosophical system, and religious theology completely falls within the scope of religion within the philosophical system. The extension of theology can include religious theology.
