College teaching quality is high, students have a good learning atmosphere and a strong academic atmosphere. Students' professional basic knowledge and experimental skills are solid, and the passing rate of college foreign language proficiency test and computer proficiency test is high. In 2000 and 20001year, the passing rate of computer level 1 examination for non-computer majors was the first in the school, and the admission rate of postgraduate examinations was the first in the school for five consecutive years. In 2004, the admission rate of undergraduate postgraduate entrance examination reached 3 1.4%. In 2000 and 20001year, students won the second prize and the third prize respectively in the National Challenge Cup Extracurricular Scientific and Technological Works Competition for College Students. Jia Jinsheng, a 2004 undergraduate majoring in biological sciences in College of Life Sciences, designed utility model patents "Double-layer anti-theft lock" (patent number: ZL20062003348 1.7) and "anti-theft manhole cover" (patent number: ZL200620033480.2), which have obtained two national utility model patents.
