Why can Huawei ask Verizon to pay more than $654.38 billion in patent fees?

Because Verizon used Huawei's technology, it should pay the corresponding fees.

As early as February this year, Huawei proposed to "solve the problem of patent license fees". These patents involve network equipment from more than 20 suppliers of Verizon, including some major American technology companies. Of course, these companies will compensate Verizon.

These Huawei patents cover core network equipment, wired infrastructure and Internet of Things technology, and insiders say that the licensing fees of these patents exceed $6,543.8+$0 billion.

Verizon is the largest local telephone company in the United States, the largest wireless communication company, and the largest provider of printed yellow pages and online yellow pages information in the world. Here, Huawei asked Verizon to submit the patent fee of 65.438 billion US dollars (equivalent to half of Verizon's net profit in the fourth quarter of last year) involving 230 patents.

Although Verizon is not a customer of Huawei, the equipment and technology tried by more than 20 suppliers in the three fields of core network equipment, cable infrastructure and Internet of Things technology are suspected of infringing Huawei's patent rights. It is reasonable for Huawei to ask Verizon for compensation.
