Notes:
The Cumulative GPA (Grade Point Average) is the calculation of all grades received while an undergraduate or a graduate student at the university.
It means the average score. The full GPA score in the United States is 4 points, that is, A= 4. B=3, C=2, D=1. The accuracy of GPA often reaches 1 to 2 digits after the decimal point, such as: 3.0, 3.45. GPA is generally calculated by multiplying the credits of each course by the credit hours, adding them up and dividing by the total credit hours to get the average score. The score setting of Chinese schools is generally a hundred-point system or a five-point system. The specific conversion method varies depending on the requirements of different American universities. Generally speaking, a score of 90 or more in the hundred-point system can be regarded as 4 points, and a score of 80 or more can be regarded as 3. A score of 70 or above is 2 points, a score of 60 or above is 1 point, 5 is 4 points on a five-point scale, 4 is 3 points, 3 is 2 points, and 2 is 1 point. Many Chinese universities do not have credit hours on their transcripts, so GPA can only be estimated by adding up the grades for all courses and dividing by the number of courses. Generally, American universities require a GPA of 3.0 or above for scholarship applicants.
