3. Registration procedures, qualification review and testing methods

3. Independent selection and admission test
It will be conducted in the form of a written test. The total test score is used as the basis for awards.
(1) The written examination is a one-paper system, regardless of arts and sciences.
(2) The written test is scheduled for February 27, 2011.
(3) Our school has set up several written examination test centers in Henan, Hubei and Hunan. Students can apply for the test center according to the nearest principle when registering online.
(4) Candidates must take their own ID card (or temporary ID card, other documents are invalid) and the admission ticket printed through the online application system to participate in the written examination.
(5) The written test is divided into cultural basic test and comprehensive ability test, with a full score of 800 points.
Cultural Basics Test: It mainly examines students’ mastery and application of basic knowledge, including Chinese (100 points), mathematics (100 points), English (100 points), and comprehensive (200 points), with a full score of 500 points , 180 minutes long;

3. Independent selection admission test
It will be conducted through the written examination of the independent selection joint examination of the 13 schools and the comprehensive interview of our school. Candidates who pass the written examination of the joint examination will come to the school for a comprehensive interview. The 13 schools independently selected the joint entrance examination written test scores as the basis for determining the comprehensive interview, and the comprehensive interview scores were used as the basis for the final award.
(1) The written test for the independent selection of the 13 schools
The written test is scheduled for February 20, 2011. The compulsory subjects for candidates are Chinese, mathematics, and English, and the elective subjects are physics, chemistry, history, and politics. The full score for each subject is 100 points.
The total score of the school’s preferred and compulsory subjects (Chinese, Mathematics, and English) reaches the top 50% of all candidates, and at least one of the 7 subjects (3 compulsory subjects + 4 optional subjects) Among the candidates whose scores in a single subject rank in the top 15% of all reference candidates in that subject (i.e., who are the best in a single subject), the list of candidates for interview will be determined in accordance with the principles of merit selection and preference. When determining the list of candidates for interview, priority will be given to those with more winning subjects; when the number of winning subjects is the same, priority will be given to the candidate with the smaller position value of the best winning subject; under the same conditions, priority will be given to the candidate with the highest total score in the compulsory subjects. The list of interview candidates will be published on the Wuhan University Admissions and Employment Information Network around March 10, 2011.
(2) Comprehensive interview
The comprehensive interview mainly examines students’ knowledge structure, ability to comprehensively apply knowledge to solve practical problems, subject quality, language expression ability, etc. Candidates must bring their ID card (or temporary ID card, other documents are invalid) to register at the school. The interview and registration time will be notified later.
IV. Admissions Methods
1. The independent selection and admission plan is to admit about 400 people, including about 200 people from the provinces taking the single examination and about 200 people from the provinces taking the joint examination. There are first, second and third prizes for independent selection and admission, and the proportions are 20%, 30% and 50% of the number of winners respectively. If students apply enthusiastically and the quality of the students is high, the total number of winners can be increased appropriately.
When determining the list of independent selection admission winners, candidates from the single-examination provinces will be based on the total test score, and the joint-examination provinces will be based on the comprehensive interview results. Our school can make appropriate adjustments to the overall independent selection and admissions plan and various breakdown plans based on the student source situation and in line with the principle of preferring shortage over excess.
The list of winners will be announced on the Wuhan University Admissions and Employment Information Network around March 30, 2011.
2. The winner will obtain the independent selection and admission qualification of our school after the public announcement and no objection. The independent selection and admission qualification of the first prize winner can be retained until June 2012 (valid for two years). 2. 3. Students who are qualified for independent selection by our school and fill in their first choice for the college entrance examination can enjoy the preferential admission policy of adding points or reducing points according to their college entrance examination cultural scores:
If the candidate's college entrance examination cultural score reaches the admission line of our school (hereinafter referred to as the school line) in the province (autonomous region, municipality directly under the Central Government) where the candidate is located, 20 points, 10 points, and 5 points will be added to the first, second, and third prizes respectively, and the candidate will be awarded the college entrance examination according to the score. 4.
