I don’t understand what the original poster means! Was it processed and manufactured according to the drawings and the height exceeded the drawings or was the design height too high?
If it is manufactured, check whether the standard exceeds the standard! If it exceeds the limit, there are 2 ways~ If the hole has not been opened, just use a boring machine to boring the size to the required size (actually, it is a short cut), or just use a cutting gun to cut it short, and then sand and bevel it again! (Higher technical requirements for riveters);
If the hole is opened, it is based on which weld seam. If it is based on one side, just shorten it as mentioned above. If there are two weld seams If they are all benchmarks, there is nothing you can do~ It is best to contact the design unit or user, or add an annular seam in the middle part (that is, the barrel section that has nothing to do with the size of the two welds) and shorten the barrel as mentioned above.
It would be easy if the design height was high! Just design it according to the tower design standards! !
But it’s clear~
Look whether it is carbon steel or stainless steel! Carbon steel is better, with this diameter it should have holes! Go in from the manhole and take the ring plate to support the cylinder on both sides of the cut. Support it in a circle. The ring plate should be thicker. It is recommended to be at least 50mm thick. Then use a cutting gun to cut it. After cutting it short, polish the ring seam grooves at both ends. , welding, take out the ring plate after completion, or if you have a large vertical lathe, you can also lathe it out! But I guess you don’t have the right to ask this, so you can only follow what I said at the beginning. (The support ring plate generally has a minimum width of 200mm. The teeth are taken in and welded to the cylinder. There is no need to weld too much. It mainly plays a supporting role. It must be rounded. After welding, the welds are sanded off and taken out)
The deformation of carbon steel is small, while the deformation of stainless steel is large, so you need to consider it!
