PTP clock mainly realizes the functions of master clock and slave clock, but a PTP communication subnet can only have one master clock. In the process of system synchronization, PTP master clock provides time synchronization and time information, and receives time stamp information sent by master clock from the clock. According to this information, the system calculates the time delay and slave time difference of the master-slave line, and adjusts the local time by using the time difference to keep the equipment time in the same frequency and phase with the master equipment time, thus realizing frequency synchronization and time synchronization.

Operation of PTP module

Before the equipment is powered on, check whether the power supply of the module and various signal connections are correct; When connecting, it should be noted that the grounding of the module must be closely connected with the grounding of the input or output equipment. It is recommended that the customer make a good motherboard and insert the module directly into the motherboard, and be careful not to have large overshoot input when using it. Pay attention to anti-static, anti-fouling, anti-falling, anti-liquid immersion when using; Insert the module into the completed motherboard when powering on, and check whether it is inserted correctly; If the power supply is normal when the module is started, the power supply indicator is always on; Configure PTP module and master-slave timing through network connection computer.

Configuration is divided into three configuration modes, including network port configuration, UDP configuration and web page configuration.

Network port configuration

The module has a configuration network port. The default factory configuration of this module is PTP slave clock. Open the browser on the management computer, enter the initial IP address of PTP slave clock module in the address bar, and finally click Enter to enter the login home page. After that, it will automatically jump to the configuration login page interface, enter the user name and password, and finally click Enter to enter the configuration.

UDP configuration

Open the information provided by our company after purchase, and open and run PTP configuration software on the computer; Click "Search Device", select the PTP slave clock connected in the network, select the device, click Ordinary User, enter the user password, and finally double-click the selected device to open it. Even if the corresponding configuration information is displayed on the right, users can modify the IP address and device name according to their own needs, and click Save and then click Device Restart to take effect.
