Desert cat!
It is larger than a domestic cat, has a long tail, slightly longer limbs, and a tuft of short hair at the end of its ears. The body length is 68~84 cm, the tail length is 29~40 cm, the shoulder height is about 25 cm, and the weight is 5.5~9 kg. The back of the body is brown or sandy yellow, and the dorsal midline is not obvious. The hair on the body is long and dense, with rich fluff. The head is the same color as the back of the body, the upper lip is yellow-white, and the beard is white. The area around the nostrils and the bridge of the nose are brownish red. There is a white line at the inner corner of each eye. There are three dark brown lines on the forehead. The back of the ear is brown, the edge is tan, there is a bunch of brown hairs on the tip of the ear, and the hair on the inner side of the ear is long and dense, brown-gray. There are two horizontal tan lines behind the eyes and cheeks. There are 4-5 dark brown horizontal stripes on the outside of each limb. The inner sides of the limbs and the chest and abdomen are light sandy yellow. There are 5 black half-rings at the end of the tail, and the tip is black. Desert cats have thicker bones than rabbits and cats. Muzzle short and wide. The posterior part of the nasal bone is also wider, the zygomatic arch is thick and wide, the frontal bone is slightly raised, and the posterior part is flat. The auditory bubble is convex and round, very leathery, the chest chamber is large and nearly round, the sagittal ridge is short, and the chevron ridge is prominent. The tooth structure is basically similar to the teeth of tigers and leopards. The upper incisors are arranged in a horizontal row, the canine teeth are well developed, and the cleft teeth are sharp. In its native range, desert cats are often mistaken for wild cats. Research on 34 desert cats collected between 1973 and 1985 shows that desert cats are closely related to wild cats and jungle cats. It was officially named Desert Cat in 1992.
