This is caused by the relevant regulations used by MIDE. To bid for a Swiss-made movement, it must be made in Switzerland first, so it is basically impossible for Swiss watches to use Japanese movements. What we know now is that TAG Heuer bought the patent of Seiko movement and set up a production line in Switzerland after the transformation. This is an indirect use of Japanese movements. If you buy plum blossoms with Japanese movement, you should have seen imitation watches. Meihua doesn't have a group like TAG Heuer to support its own production line as a movement.
